Awful. Just... Awful.

This book DOES NOT give the history of Hugh Glass; the author assumes the reader knows the story already and never gives one full account of his life or even the grizzly event. This author cannibalizes the story of a brave man to do no more than ramble his seemingly unconnected opinions whilst spewing out the random historical quote. Never judge a book by its cover - the cover of this book is far better than the questionable material it contains.

Dissapointed. The author seems to cut down the man Hugh Glass and the legend he invoked at every turn. There is an underlying sense of cynicism and almost disrespectful way he rips and probes Glass. I can't recommend this book.
